EBC Brake Fluids

EBC presents a range of five brake fluid choices, categorizing them into two distinct families with markedly different chemical compositions: glycol fluids and silicone fluids. The majority of contemporary automobiles and motorcycles incorporate glycol-based fluids in their brake systems. It is imperative to exercise caution and refer to your vehicle's owner's manual when purchasing or contemplating mixing brake fluids, as introducing an incompatible fluid into your brake system may result in a multitude of issues, potentially compromising the integrity of the brake hydraulic seals.

Super DOT 4 brake fluid

Our BF307+ high-performance Super DOT 4 brake fluid is uniquely engineered to deliver exceptional performance in braking systems that regularly encounter extreme temperatures. This makes it a superb choice for both spirited street driving, track days, and racing applications. It's essential not to blend BF307+ brake fluid with other fluids, as doing so could compromise its high-performance attributes.

  • Available in a choice of two bottle sizes – 500ml (8.8 US fl.oz) or 1 litre (33.8 US fl.oz)

  • Typical dry boiling point – 310°C (590°F). Typical wet boiling point – 195°C (383°F)

Incompatible with mineral oil systems; consult the vehicle manual if uncertain. This product meets and exceeds the U.S. FMVSS No.116 DOT 4 specifications.

Dot 4 Brake Fluid

DOT 4 brake fluid stands out as a premium-grade option, ideal for hydraulic brake and clutch systems across a broad spectrum of vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles that require the use of glycol-based DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluids. Notably, it boasts a superior boiling point compared to DOT 3 fluid, rendering it particularly well-suited for high-performance vehicles, where the braking system consistently encounters elevated brake temperatures.

  • Available in a choice of two bottle sizes – 250ml (8.8 US fl.oz) or 1 litre (33.8 US fl.oz)

  • Typical dry boiling point – 270°C (518°F). Typical wet boiling point – 170°C (338°F)

This product is incompatible with mineral oil-based systems. If you have any uncertainties, we recommend referring to your vehicle's handbook. It's worth noting that this product complies with and surpasses the latest international standards, including U.S. FMVSS No.116 for DOT 4 and DOT 3, SAE J1703 and J1704, as well as ISO 4925 (Classes 3 and 4).

Dot 5.1 High Performance

DOT 5.1 brake fluid is specifically designed for hydraulic brake and clutch systems in cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles that require a non-petroleum-based fluid. Notably, DOT 5.1 boasts a considerably higher boiling point compared to standard DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids, making it an excellent choice for modern high-performance vehicles and those equipped with ESP/ASR systems. Importantly, it's versatile and can be safely mixed with other glycol-based fluids, including DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 fluid types.

  • Available in a 500ml (16.9 US fl.oz) bottle only

  • Typical dry boiling point – 269°C (516°F). Typical wet boiling point – 184°C (363°F)

Incompatible with mineral oil systems. For clarification, refer to your vehicle's manual.

This product complies with and surpasses the latest international standards, including U.S. FMVSS No.116 for DOT 5.1, DOT 4, and DOT 3, SAE J1703 and J1704, as well as ISO 4925 (Classes 3, 4, and 5.1).

DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid

DOT 5 silicone brake fluid, based on polydimethylsiloxanes (silicones), excels over glycol-based fluids. It resists water absorption, extending service life and enhancing corrosion resistance. Ideal for hydraulic brake and clutch systems in various vehicles, especially classics or intermittently used ones. Caution: Only mix with compatible DOT 5 fluid; avoid mixing with standard glycol fluids.

  • Available in a 250ml (8.8 US fl.oz) bottle only

  • Typical dry boiling point – 300°C (572°F). Typical wet boiling point – 180°C (356°F)

This product not only meets but also surpasses the latest international standards, including U.S. FMVSS No.116 for DOT 5.

DOT 4 Low Viscosity

DOT 4LV low viscosity brake fluid is an exceptionally high-quality brake and clutch fluid that showcases outstanding viscosity performance, even in colder conditions (with a maximum cSt @ -40°C). This makes it a particularly suitable choice for hydraulic brake and clutch systems in contemporary vehicles equipped with ESP/ASR (Electronic Stability Program) systems.

Furthermore, this product can be safely combined with other glycol-based fluids of the same base. It is recommended for use in the hydraulic brake and clutch systems of a wide range of vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles that require a glycol-based DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid.

  • Available in 500ml (16.9 US fl.oz) bottle only

  • Typical dry boiling point – 266°C (511°F). Typical wet boiling point – 173°C (343°F)

Incompatible with mineral oil systems; consult your vehicle's handbook if uncertain. This product complies with the latest ISO 4925 Class 6 standard and meets international standards, including U.S. FMVSS No.116 DOT 3, DOT 4, SAE J1703, SAE J1704, and ISO 4925 (Classes 3 & 4).
